Trompe l'Oeil My Aunt   sent me these John Pugh  photos and it seemed to be a great post.  Many Trompe l'Oeil subjects are of Tuscan landscapes. The yacht was designed, built and launched in 2007, in Viareggio, Italy . Since then, it has traveled to New Zealand, through the islands and atolls of the South Pacific, covered the Mediterranean and many ports in between.  It's port is now Santa Barbara where the Firestone family has brought it. .read more . -C Mag

E. Denis Photo Realism Painter of Wines E. Denis was born in 1971 in Byelorussia. He was the youngest child in the family and all his free time he spent painting. There were several reasons for this passion.  Denis's parents were architects. The grandfather devoted all his life to photography and during the World War II he worked as a special war photo correspondent. His grandfather taught Denis to look at ordinary things from a different angle. He made the boy pay attention to unusually floating fog or very beautiful sunset. Denis began his art career working on icon reliefs for church bells.  His church bells can be found in more than 100 churches in Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Baltic States and USA. "The Way" filmed in the  Pyrénées of Spain and France Last year, Emilio Estevez filmed "The Way" in the medieval town of  Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port iin South of France along the Spanish border.  It's about a father (Martin Sheen) who makes the pilgrimage (like so many others every year) following the death of his son (Emilio Estevez) in the area. The spiritual film was entirely filmed in France and Spain.

   My 1973 and 2009 photos. The last Summer we visited the Leaning Tower for the second time in our journeys, there was still so much construction on the tower.  It's good to see that it's finally finished!  Compare my photos above of the difference in years...read on..

The main pool/fountain view of the Villa The Getty Villa, Malibu, CA. My sister is a volunteer at the Getty Villa so I was able to get great first hand information about the Villa's remodel project and re-opening.   Getty had been married 5 times and had 5 sons.  He and his last wife were living in the original home on the grounds while building a Villa reminiscent of an authentic Italian Villa.  Unfortunately, he passed away several years before it was completed in 1976.  The finished villa was beautiful and there were many rooms filled with antiquities and statues that J.Paul Getty enjoyed collecting.  I remember visiting it in the late 80's.  Read on...

The Buchart Gardens are totally worth a trip to British Columbia in a summer month...

 I took of this photo of the bird on a ledge...doesn't it look like he was a monster bird? Atlantis Resort Hotel on Paradise Island continue... We decided to visit this resort and it was lovely.  It's numerous restaurants, two story aquarium and hundreds of different sized pools and streams (seemed like a lot) made it a delightful place to visit.    Many tourists in October were on holiday from the Eastern US States because of the close proximity.   

My friend James sent these great photos of the Grand Canyon and  Sedona, AZ. that are really beautiful...the one rock looks like a delicious giant candy bar with white icing on it!
